Attaching a goal from atlas directly in Jira - sync issue

Hi :) 

My issue is that I have set a few goals in Atlas. 

When working in Jira - I might need to add a epic to this goal. It seems that when working in Jira this should be possible - but - when I add an epic in Jira and attach a goal to that epic (still in Jira) - this is not updated within the Jira epic link section in Atlas under "Contributing Jira issues" ? 

Is this a "bug" or me using the system in not intended way?
