Bulk Change to Add Labels Not Working

Jim Whalen May 2, 2024

I have attempted to bulk change issues to add a Label. But even though the process completed, I still do not see the new labels. Anyone seen this issue before? Got a solution? Is it a known bug?

Hi @Jim Whalen ,

Try out Colored Label Manager , You can add or remove labels in bulk with two clicks .

Thanks for that. This solution will work for me. But I think I should have checked the audit log too (see Laurie Sciutti's answer). That would have been my next move if I wanted to be thorough. But this useful tool side-step's the issue.

Hi @Jim Whalen and welcome to the Community!  Are you selecting the  "Add to existing" option during the Bulk Change?  Have you looked at the Audit log of one of the issues you are changing to see what is actually occurring with your change?

I did select "Add to existing" - I did not look at the audit log. Would I see update errors in the audit log? I assumed that these only show histories of actual updates (and quite frankly checking that never crossed my mind.) But, I see your point - it could be that something else got changed... I should have checked. But I think no matter what I find, this process did not work (I have tried it on multiple occasions.) So having another tool really is part of the answer (see the answer by karim -Atlassway)
